Flock and Flex Printing
What Are Flock and Flex Printing?
Flock printing is a printing technology that uses special films with a velvety, high-quality feel. These films are cut to the desired design using a cutting plotter and then transferred directly onto the fabric using a heat press. Thanks to the adhesive applied to the flock film, the print bonds permanently and securely with the textile.
Flex printing, on the other hand, is especially suitable for thinner fabrics and textiles and offers an extended color range. Special colors such as gold, silver, and neon are also available and suitable for polyester-based textiles. As with flock printing, the designs are cut using a plotter and then permanently and durably applied to the textile using a heat press.
Advantages of Flock and Flex Printing
Because flock and flex films are individually produced using a cutting plotter, small series or single items can be produced at any time. Multicolor designs with clearly defined colors are easily achievable by cutting different colored films separately and applying them layer by layer using a heat press.
As a result, single- and multi-color vector graphics (logos, numbers, names) can be permanently applied to the desired textile with excellent color and wash resistance—regardless of whether the fabric is natural or synthetic.
